Activities at the Triangle L Ranch

GLOW!--Triangle L Ranch comes alive with glowing light during this multimedia art event coinciding with the full moon. GLOW! celebrates the work of dozens of visual and performance artists. This much-anticipated regional event is held each fall.

 

SCULPTURE PARK-- Winding through a portion of Ranch property is the Sculpture Path, an outdoor gallery displaying work by some of Southern Arizona's most prominent sculptors.  Here in the high desert, these site-specific installations are a collaboration between art and nature.

Near the Triangle L Ranch

Within easy reach of the Triangle L Ranch are some of Arizona’s most stunning landscapes.

 

The CORONADO NATIONAL FOREST, with endless vistas and hiking opportunities, is a nearby global treasure of diverse plants, animals, and sky islands.

 

The 800-mile-long ARIZONA TRAIL, designated a National Scenic Trail, touches down in the Coronado National Forest. The trail, for hiking, mountain-biking, and equestrians, showcases the wide variety of ecosystems in Arizona.

 

ARAVAIPA CANYON and Creek, a scenic wonder set among the cottonwoods in the Galiuro Mountains, is a lush riparian habitat and home to over 230 species of birds.

 

The jewel of ORACLE STATE PARK is the Kannally House, a beautiful, Mediterranean-style ranch house, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The park, beloved by locals, is a 4,000-acre wildlife refuge and Center for Environmental Education.  With stunning views, it’s a wonderful place for a hike or a picnic.

 

Just a few miles down Mt. Lemmon Road is Oracle’s latest attraction…Arizona Zipline Adventures. Five lines of varying lengths and speeds create an adrenaline rush as well as spectacular views. The facilities additionally offer a giant swing, and a great place for lunch, and moonlight zipping!’

 

BIOSPHERE 2, the world-famous “living laboratory” for environmental research, is a few miles west of the ranch. Owned by the University of Arizona, it serves as a center for research and learning about Earth and its living systems.

 

24 HOURS IN THE OLD PUEBLO--This single-track mountain-bike event is one of the largest 24-hour events of its kind in the world. "Thrilling to watch, it takes place around February 14, 2013. If you would like to get in your training rides for the race, Triangle L Ranch is a convenient place to stay.  We are located 12 miles from the course.

 

TUCSON, thirty minutes’ drive to the south, offers all the amenities of Southwestern city,from Sonoran hot-dog stands to gourmet fare.

Triangle L Ranch is located in ORACLE, ARIZONA, home to artists, writers, craftspeople, and cowboys. Explore the town’s rich history of copper mining and ranching at the ACADIA RANCH MUSEUM, a beautifully restored 1882 building.  The Acadia is Oracle’s vibrant center for local and regional history, possessing an extensive collection of historic photographs and artifacts.

 

ORACLE OAKS FESTIVAL and CLASSIC CAR SHOW--Pancake breakfast, parade, library book sale, green-chili lunch at the Community Center, musicians, raffle—this annual April event is small-town Arizona at its best.

 

ORACLE ARTISTS STUDIO TOUR--More than fifty artists and artisans open their studios for two days each spring.  The studio tour has been an annual Oracle event for more than 20 years.
